A new poll suggests that New York is the most noisy city in America, while Los Angeles is the quietest.
The poll from the New York City Comptroller’s office found that New Yorkers made more noise than residents of any other major American city.
The city ranked at number 11 on the list of the most-disturbed U.K. cities in a new poll.
The Comptroller asked the public to rank their citys “most-distressed” in order of “highest level of noise pollution” over a six-month period ending in June.
New York ranked at the top of the list with “more than 20 percent of respondents reporting a level of pollution in excess of 20 decibels.”
The Computed Polling Institute said that NewYork ranked first for noise pollution over a period of six months, with “significantly higher levels of noise, noise levels and volume of noise than any other U.C. Berkeley, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.”
The poll found that residents of New York made about 4.7 decibel loudest hours of the year.
In contrast, residents of Los Angeles, which ranked second in the survey, made about 3.4 decibell loudest days.
According to the survey results, the New Yorkers had the lowest levels of air pollution in their cities and had the most problems with pollution in other parts of the country.
Los Angeles also had the highest levels of pollution for the period, with a level that is “more common than any major American City.”
The survey found that the most affected parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan had the second highest levels.
The survey of more than 1,000 residents also found that “the most polluted cities in the United States were New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angles, and Washington, D.C.”
The most-disrespected cities in America in the poll were Atlanta, New Orleans, Chicago and Miami.
