OHIO, Ohio — When a train station in Columbus became a landmark in the nation’s history, it was hardly the first.
It’s one of the more than 100 stations along the Ohio and Ohio-Indiana Railroad that opened during the Great Depression.
But its significance to Ohio’s history wasn’t just that it was the first station.
It was that it became one of America’s most popular destinations for rail fans, attracting people from all over the world, the people who had been coming here since the beginning.
It wasn’t until 1929 that the station actually opened its doors, but for nearly half a century, visitors were greeted with its name, the Grand Canyon Railway.
The train station, which was built in 1916, was a popular destination for those visiting the area.
“The Grand Canyon Railroad, which is what it is today, was the most popular railroad in Ohio,” said Tom Smith, an associate professor at Ohio State University.
“It was the only one that operated on tracks from Columbus to Cleveland.
People would go there on trains and get off and come back to Columbus, which would then have a line for trains and then a line from Cleveland to Cleveland.”
The rail line was named after the famed canyon that ran through it.
The station was designed by the architect, William W. Taylor, who had built the Grand Coulee Dam.
The Grand Canyon River, which ran through the area, is the most visited in the United States and was named in honor of Taylor’s famous creation.
“This is an area that’s very rich in heritage, history, geology, natural resources, and I think it’s important that you understand what it means to be in the area,” said Smith.
“People were always fascinated with what’s up there and the Grand, as you know, is a very interesting place.
It has a little bit of everything.”
The station was a main attraction for visitors from all around the world and the railroad became a symbol of Ohio’s success in the railroad industry.
“There was an enormous amount of rail travel that was happening on the Ohio, Indiana and Michigan lines,” said Steve Lips, a railroad historian at the University of Pittsburgh.
“You had to be able to see trains moving through it, so it was a very big deal for the industry.
People were coming from all across the country.”
The railroad had an incredible popularity, but the first person to visit the station was an African American woman named Martha Lee, who was visiting Columbus in 1877.
She was looking for a place to spend the night.
It was a small, isolated area and the station itself was barely bigger than a trailer, with only two doors.
It took a little longer than she anticipated, but after her first night at the station, she was hooked.
“I loved it,” she said.
By the late 1800s, the station had become the place to be for many Ohioans.
It became a place for many people to stay and visit and the railroads continued to expand.
The railroad eventually moved into the city, and the city grew to be the largest railroad hub in the country.
The city also grew to become one of Ohios most successful and profitable industries, and many people who worked on the line had jobs.
When the railroad finally closed in 1931, the railroad had a huge impact on the city and its economy.
In the late 1930s, it opened up the city to more immigrants and immigrants from the South.
It opened the first of many immigrant residential schools, which became one the most successful schools in the world.
But the rail line also had its downsides.
It had become a hub of the Depression and was plagued by many accidents and vandalism, including a fire in 1885.
The town’s residents were afraid of the crowds that would gather and the potential of the train station being used as a place of prostitution.
The station became more and more of a tourist attraction, but its reputation for crime also faded.
“When the train ended, people went to the Grand canyon and came back again, and people were fascinated with it,” said Lips.
Even after the Great Recession hit, the rail lines popularity continued to rise.
“In the early 1990s, when I was doing a lot of research on the Grand Line, there was a lot more publicity around the station and people started going back,” said Scott Sturgess, a professor at the Ohio State Transportation Museum.
“The station itself had an amazing reputation and was well known.
I think in the early 2000s, there were more tourists coming to the station than in any other time.”
In 2008, the city began to work on a plan to keep the station open.
A group of community leaders, including representatives from the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and the Columbus Police and Fire Departments, visited the station to see if it could be improved.
They were not impressed.
One of the issues they raised was the
